SFO remote job: Software Sales job, Oakland

Position Summary
If you are an Enterprise Software Sales professional who thrives on business development and managing complex sales cycles, then we would like to talk to you about this challenging position to help grow our Property & Casualty business in North America. As an Enterprise Sales Executive your job is to identify, qualify and close sales opportunities and contribute by generating new business. You will be dealing with all levels within an organization, from business unit management to board members. The Sales Executive is responsible for all stages and elements of the complex sales cycle and is directly responsible for a defined revenue target. This individual contributor is focused on results, is able to prioritize and has a high level of business ethics. This position is territory basted, and reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
• Conducts cold calls, prospects and qualifies account opportunities
• Identifies and creates business needs with senior executive decision makers
• Creates and communicates the value of StoneRiver's solution with prospects and clients
• Builds relationships at all levels within organizations
• Closes opportunities
• Develop, promote, and execute sales strategies in assigned accounts / territories that will enable the company to achieve its financial objectives
• Utilize sales methodologies, processes, and best practices to increase the probability of success
• Develop and leverage contacts, build relationships with potential buyers in assigned accounts / territories
• Consistently build and maintain a deep sales pipeline through cold calling, partnering with a Lead Generation Specialist, coordinating with Lead Generation campaigns, attending trade shows and conferences, while closing existing opportunities.
• Insure data is entered into the Sales CRM system timely and accurately
• Manage expenses efficiently
• Participate in company solution training periodically
• Learn and promote solution differentiators
• Stay abreast of market influences and changes
• Monitor competitive activity and competitor solutions
• Research accounts that have the greatest revenue potential and assign a high priority for establishing relationships in those accounts
• Lead, coordinate, and influence sales cycles
• Coordinate contract negotiations
• Collaborate with other stakeholders on developing and executing sales strategies
• Able to obtain agreement from multiple parties throughout all stages of the sales cycle
• Use good timing and carefully calculated strategies when bargaining
• Identify hidden agendas that might interfere with resolution of terms

Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, and/or related field; related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement
• Job Related Experience: 10+ years of experience selling enterprise level software and services
• Experience selling to insurance carriers is a must.
• Consistently exceeded a $1 Million+ license quota
• Broad relationships with key executives in the Target Market preferred

Skills and Abilities:
• Business-to-Business software application expertise
• Strong understanding of StoneRiver’s carrier workflow and business objectives, and ability to translate company systems into carrier’s solutions.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills required
• Demonstrated ability to follow sound business ethics when executing job responsibilities to build and maintain management confidence
• Technical skills – Microsoft Office products

• Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and may occasionally lift and move 25 pounds
• Requires the ability to drive a vehicle
• Up to 75% travel required
