Copywriter - Freelance to Hire (SOMA / south beach)

We are looking for articulate, detail-oriented team players to join our fast-paced start-up as freelance copywriters. We’re building the premier daily deal site for savvy moms, offering them discounts on the products and services that make their lives easier and more enjoyable. As a copywriter, you’ll be the wordsmith who creates high-quality, engaging content for our daily deals in Districts across geographical regions in a timely fashion. This position will be responsible for writing, self-editing, and proofing copy.
Depending upon performance, there is potential for the Freelance Copywriter to become a full-time position involving more web content management and project management in addition to copywriting.
Responsibilities
Write, edit, and proofread copy for multiple deals daily, against tight production deadlines
Create other, non-deal-specific copy as required
Requirements
-2+ years’ professional writing experience
-A 4-year degree in English, journalism, or a field requiring similar writing experience
-Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and meet constant production deadlines
-Experience creating and managing Web content
-Prior experience writing for female audiences is preferred
-Experience using content management systems (e.g. Drupal, Expression Engine, or Magento)
-Basic familiarity with HTML
-Interest in working in a start-up environment
