Portland freelance developer job, PHP , HTML5, telecommuting position

Aeshen is currently seeking a Web Developer with PHP and HTML5 experience for immediate contract opportunities. Candidates need to show a history of successful projects developing websites utilizing PHP and HTML5 technologies. Application development experience in HTML5 is a plus. Successful candidates will demonstrate their set of hybrid skills, enabling them to implement designs and develop the user interaction and database management. Although this is a telecommuting position, candidates must have the ability to travel to weekly meetings and may be asked to travel for training engagements.

This position is a contract opportunity with the possibility for regular employment. Compensation as a contractor is typically fixed-bid per project, with the rate depending on the candidate's level of experience and complexity of the project.

Required Skills
• Web development using HTML5
• Experience with common publishing platforms (WordPress, Drupal, ect)
• Knowledge of JavaScript
• Knowledge of JSON
• Understands basic relational database concepts
• Possesses knowledge of various database access methods
• Knowledge of at least one structured programming language
• Understands XML and RSS feeds
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of object and component methodology and technology
• Possesses basic knowledge of classes, components, objects, and interfaces
• Recognizes the fundamental differences between the various internet browsers
• Ability to follow coding standards as dictated by Aeshen
• Understanding of Google Analytics integration
• Ability to integrate out of the box shopping cart tools
• Prior telecommuting experience and ability to work from home
