NY phone job, Interviewers wanted, research study of New York City’s elderly

Federal Funded Research Project seeks Computerized Telephone Interviewers to participate in a rigorous research study of New York City’s elderly.

Job Description

Via computer web interface, remotely call, recruit, and administer baseline telephone surveys to individuals between the ages of 65 – 75 years of age. Provide study information, verify participant qualifications or schedule appointments for future survey administration.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain a dedicated shift commitment.
• Communicate with studies scheduling representative on a shift by shift basis to verify computer connectivity and possible call monitoring.
• Web based / PC computer environment with computer literacy.
• Ability to maintain a desktop or laptop computer on Window Operating System; XP, Vista or Win07, in addition to high speed internet {DSL, Cable, or FIOS} internet service and a minimum of Internet Explorer 8.0 access..
• Ability to understand questioning methods presented in training.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to fulfill Human Research Training Module training
• Excellent and concise communication skills
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
Education and/or Experience:
• Minimum of a High School Diploma. College degree preferred.
• Phone interviewing/survey experience desirable.
