Writing jobs, Remote job, 10 $ per post

We are recruiting content writers to produce encyclopedic-style pages to compliment Mahalo.com videos. At Mahalo we strive to create quality content for a site where you can "Learn Anything." Mahalo is a top 200 Internet company in the United States with hundreds of thousands of articles that are read by millions of people each month. We're focused on building services to help people find, share, and create trustworthy content. We do this through our informative topic pages, how to articles, videos, and our Q&A platform. As part of the hiring process to get started writing, there are a few simple steps that you'll need to complete:

Please review these pages to get a feel for what a good Mahalo page entails. These example pages are the type of How to pages that you will complete to accompany a Mahalo produced video. Each page will need at least 300 words of original content that is clear and concise.

We ask that you submit one sample writing piece from the list of Mahalo Youtube videos. This sample will give us an idea of what your writing skills are, and if you can adhere to the tone and specifications of the encyclopedic style of the site. Since you will not get paid for this sample, we will not use it on the site— we do not lobby for free content at Mahalo.

Write an article around the following video: How to Cut Cilantro
Go to this FORM to fill out at least 300 words of content about the Youtube video.
Content should be based on the video, but does not need to solely be information from the video. Any information from outside sources must be cited at the bottom of the page.
Write in third or second person person, non-biased, encyclopedic style without using flowery language such as "great, unique, special, fun, delicious, popular, or well known."

Every article that you write will be thoroughly reviewed by an Editor at Mahalo:
They'll primarily consider the mechanics (grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization), veracity (references, source material, non-plagiarized copy), and flow (order, presentation, readability) of your article.

Once this test piece is reviewed and accepted, we can get you writing on the system for $10 per article. Please email me at howto@mahalo.com if you have any further questions.

We look forward to hearing from you!
